MiniFest 2019

  • Walnut Hills High School 3250 Victory Parkway Cincinnati, OH, 45207 United States (map)

The 3rd Annual C3 Clarinet MiniFest happens April 28 from 9am-6pm at Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati Ohio.

The day will include Masterclasses and special topic Breakout Sessions by our featured artists Ralph Skiano and Jonathan Gunn, who both held the position of principal clarinet of the Cincinnati Symphony. Another former Cincinnati Symphony principal, Dick Waller, will present a class, as will John Kurokawa, principal of Dayton Philharmonic and clarinet faculty at Wright State.

In between classes, participants can visit the vendor room, where one can explore and try all sorts of equipment, from the new D'Addario Evolution mouthpieces, Vandoren products that Michael Tran will showcase, and master maker Ramon Wadkowski's new mouthpieces to name a few. Buddy Rogers and Yamaha will have stock, and if its a quick repair you're looking for, Liam Burke will have the tools to help!

A recital and large clarinet ensemble performance caps off the day!

The Clarinet Minifest is a really fun way to:

- meet other clarinet players in and around our region

- learn from the pros about this fantastic instrument to which we've dedicated our lives (!)

- hone audition and practice skills

- try new gadgets and instruments, all in one room

- and nerd out in the best way possible :)
